                                    Activities of the Finishing School

The Finishing School has well structured training programmes for making fresh engineers industry-ready, by aligning their engineering talents with the needs of the industry.
 Programme highlights:

Communication Skills

The 'Language Lab' conducts a 30hr-course for first year students, to improve English language proficiency. This programme is handled by faculty members trained by 'Sutherland Technologies'. The activities include essay competitions, vocabulary tests, word games, spelling tests and so on.
Presentation Skills

This is imparted in multiple modes, by individual and group activities. Precis writing, presentation of a current topic to a group and seminar presentations are some of the skills imparted in this programme. Leadership

Student group leaders and various club representatives are encouraged to take leadership in various co-curricular and extra curricular activities. A monitoring group consisting of the Project Director, Principal and Heads of Departments sets targets and guides them.

Industrial orientation

Visits to industries and talks by invited industrial personnel are arranged to expose the students to the real life situations.
