TECHIE TALKIES: ” Introduction to Blockchain”

The Computer Science Engineering Association of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, successfully hosted the inaugural session of TECHIE TALKIE on October 31, 2023. The session focused on “Introduction to Blockchain” and featured Allen Saji, a student member of CSEA, as the speaker. The event took place from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Allen Saji delivered an insightful talk, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of  blockchain technology. Participants gained valuable insights into the fundamentals of blockchain and its potential applications. The session received positive feedback from the audience, marking a promising start for future TECHIE TALKIE events.

TECHIE TALKIES:”Basics of Photoshop”

The Computer Science Engineering Association of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, continued its TECHIE TALKIE series with an engaging session on November 7, 2023. The second session focused on “Learn Basics of Photoshop,” aiming to introduce attendees to the fundamentals and vast capabilities of this powerful tool. Mathews P Mathew, a student member of CSEA, served as the speaker for the event. From 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, participants delved into the basics of Photoshop, exploring its various features and functionalities. The session provided valuable insights into image editing and manipulation, leaving attendees equipped with foundational skills in Photoshop.

TECHIE TALKIES:”Introduction to Metaverse”

The Computer Science Engineering Association of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, successfully conducted the third session of its TECHIE TALKIE series on November 14, 2023. The session titled “Introduction to Metaverse” explored the immersive virtual realm where digital and physical worlds intersect. Gautham Krishna N, a student member of CSEA, served as the speaker, guiding attendees through the potential of the metaverse for exploration, creativity, and interconnected experiences. The event sparked insightful discussions among participants, highlighting the emerging opportunities and challenges within this evolving digital landscape. Overall, the session provided valuable insights into the transformative potential of the metaverse.

Workshop on “Understanding Cybersecurity Concepts and Practices: Preparing for the Modern Digital Landscape”

The Computer Science Engineering Association of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, organized a highly anticipated workshop on “Understanding Cybersecurity Concepts and Practices: Preparing for the Modern Digital Landscape” on February 13, 2024. The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complex cybersecurity challenges in today’s digital era. Mr. Manu Francis, an expert in cybersecurity and Founder CEO at Edwhere Education, served as the speaker. Through engaging discussions and practical insights, attendees gained a deeper understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices. The workshop successfully empowered participants to tackle cybersecurity threats effectively in the modern digital landscape.
