His Excellency Mar Joseph Kallarangattu

Mar Joseph Kallarangatt is the Bishop of Palai and Patron of the College. He had his higher studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome and took doctorate in Theology. He was the Professor of Theology at Paurastya Vidyapeetham, Kottayam and in 2001 he was appointed the President of Paurastya Vidyapeetham and continued in the office till he was appointed the Bishop of Palai in 2004.

Mar Joseph Kallarangatt has published more than 30 scholarly books on Theology and Oriental Liturgy. He has published large number of papers on Theological and Secular topics. At present he is serving as Chairman, CBCI Doctrinal Commission; Chairman, KCBC Theology Commission and Chairman, Syro Malabar Commission for Doctrine. He had the rare privilege of participating in the Bishop’s Synod, held at Rome in 2012 and was nominated by Pope Benedict XVI as one among the three members of the Commission to solve theological disputes.

Mar Jacob Muricken

Mar Jacob Muricken is the Auxiliary Bishop of Palai. After his collegiate studies at Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad from where he took a Master’s Degree in Economics, he joined Good

Shepherded Minor Seminary, Palai. He was ordained priest by Mar Joseph Pallickaparampil on 27 October 1993. He served the diocese in various capacities as Professor at the Diocesan Minor Seminary; Rector, Savio Home, Neeloor; Secretary, Diocesan Technical Education Trust, Palai; Secretary, Corporate Educational Agency, Palai. He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Palai while serving as the diocesan pastoral coordinator. He is an educationist of great vision. At present he is the Manager, St. Thomas College, Palai, Alphonsa College, Palai and St. Thomas Teacher Training College, Palai.

Rev. Dr. Joseph Maleparambil

Presently he is the Vicar General of the Diocese of Palai in charge of Education and Chairman of the Diocesan Technical Education Trust and Manager of all educational institutions under the Corporate. He is the former Rector of St. Ephrem’s Theological College, Satna, and former secretary to K.C.B.C.

Mr. T.K Jose, IAS

Mr. T.K Jose. IAS is an outstanding administrative officer who is currently serving as Addition Chief Secretary Govt. of Kerala. He is a versatile genius with a passion for quality and perfection. Dr. V.V Georgekutty, was the former controller of examinations, University of Calicut. He is a role model of selfless hard work and steadfast devotion to duty. What helped him in his endeavours are his strong optimism, courage and implicit faith in God. He is an academic par excellence, who has endeared himself to his students as a brilliant teacher and mentor, a competent administrator and above all, a genuine human being.

Dr. Sarith P Sathian, Professor, IIT, Madras

Dr Sarith P Sathian is an eminent academician. He is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Applied Mechanics at IIT, Madras..

Dr. Ramesh Unnikrishnan, Director,  AICTE,  Regional Office, Kerala

Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan started his career as a Lecturer at Govt Engineering College Adoor in the year 1998 and later on worked with Govt Engineering College Munnar till 2012. He Joined All India Council for Technical Education, the Regulatory Body for Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of India as Director in the year 2012 and was officiating the post of Western Regional Officer since 2013 controlling the states of Maharashtra, Goa Dadra NagarHaveli, Daman and Diu. During 2014 he was entrusted with the additional charge of South Western Region and South Central Region which controls the Technical institutions within Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshwadeep. Presently he is the Advisor of Approval Bureau at AICTE Hqrs New Delhi.

Dr. Job Kurian, IIT, Madras (Rtd.)

Dr. Job Kurian, Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Dean, Industrial Consultancy& Sponsored Research IIT, Madras has a vast experience in industry, teaching, research and research guidance at IIT, Madras since 1972. He has also done Post-Doctoral Researches in the Universities of Karlsruhe, Erlangen, Essen and Aachen in Germany. His areas of research are Gas Dynamics, Combustion and Experimental Aerodynamics. He has supervised eleven Doctoral dissertations and Four ongoing. He has about hundred publications to his credit and completed twenty-two projects work Rs. 45 million. Currently he is doing research in High speed flows, Mixing and Combustion; Shock tube-based studies, Hypersonic, High enthalpy flows; and Low-density flows. He has held many important positions in IIT, Madras and is the Dean, Industrial Consultancy & Sponsored Research, IIT, Madras. He also held many positions in Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR & DB), National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL), Centre for Military Air Worthiness & Certification (CEMILAC), Indian Institute of Space Technology(IIST) and Anna University.

Dr. Tessy Thomas

Dr. Tessy Thomas, Distinguished Scientist, has taken over as Director General (Aeronautical Systems) w.e.f 01-Jun-2018. She obtained her B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Calicut University, ME in Guided Missiles from Institute of Armament Technology (now Defence Institute of Advanced Technology), Pune and PhD in Missile Guidance from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. She obtained MBA in Operations Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi.

Besides her contribution as a faculty in IAT, Pune and DRDL, Hyderabad, she was the back bone in the development of Agni Missile. She was the project director of Agni 4, Agni 5 and was the director, advanced system laboratory, DRDO. She is also a recipient of many prestigious awards of DRDO. Her excellence is not limited to DRDO and missiles. She is also a recipient of “Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for excellence in Public Administration, Academics and Management -2012”, “Distinguished Woman Scientist Award 2016” etc.

Sri. Tom Thomas

He is an Alumnus of CUSAT with M.Sc Degree in Physics and M.Tech in Computer and Information Sciences. He worked with MNCs like Wipro, GE in various Roles which Include Software Engineer, Technical Architect, Project Manager and CTO. He also worked with Startups and is an entrepreneur and teacher. He owns more than 15 Software products/copyrights and executed more than 400 Successful Software Projects in his 21 Years IT Career. He was featured as “Worlds Top 11 Visual C++ Programmer to look for” on April 2017 in Upwork.com , an IT outsourcing platform with over 12 Million professionals. He is specialized in C++ , System Side, Networking, AI, IoT, Scientific and Engineering Software related Technologies. He was the captain of the CUSAT Cricket Team in the year 1996 and being a Sportsman, he loves to take Calculated Risks.

Dr. Madhukumar S, Vice Principal, SJCET

Dr Madhukumar S is a born academician. He started his academic journey under the board of Techical Education, Govt. of Karnataka right after his Bachelor Degree both in Science (specialization in Mathematics from University of Kerala) and in Engineering (specialization in Electronics from Dr. B. A. Marathwada University). His strong desire for higher academic pursuits lead him to his Master of technology in Industrial Electronics from Visveswaraya Technological University, Karnataka and later Doctoral research in Electronics and Communication from Anna University, Chennai.
Dr Madhukumar has wide experience in various Engineering colleges in India and Abroad (with a special tenure with the Ministry of Education, State of Eritrea). He later joined in the service of SJCET in 2004 as Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication. Dr. Madhukumar’s selfless hard work and steadfast devotion to duty and exemplarity administrative capabilities lead him up the professional ladder at SJCET through the Head ship of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and as Vice Principal, SJCET, Palai. Amidst his administrative responsibilities, his passion to academic pursuits continues in research guidance and has over 20 publications in Journals and Conferences of International repute.
Dr. Madhukumars implicit faith in God, his strong optimism, courage and stamina for hard work, cheerful disposition and dogged determination truly makes him a role model to every faculty at SJCET.
