1. The applicant seeking admission to the programme should be a professional/ employee working in Registered lndustry / Organization (Central / State) / Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs located within 75 Km radial distance from the institute in which admission is sought.
2. The applicant should have been employed in the Registered lndustry / Organization (Central /State) / Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs for a minimum continuous period of ONE Year on Full time basis.
3. The applicant should have passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of applicants belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering / Technology. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of applicants belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject, provided that the applicants belonging to B.Sc stream shall clear the courses Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics (or courses approved by the academic council of the institution) of the First Year Engineering Programme along with the Second Year subjects. These subjects can be done as Audit courses. OR Passed B.Voc or 3-year D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
4. The students belonging to B.Sc/ B.Voc stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary and the unfilled vacancies of the first year B.Tech / BE, with students belonging to the Diploma stream and D.Voc stream.
5. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: The candidate those who wish to apply for B.Tech Working Professional program shall qualify the entrance examination for B.Tech Lateral Entry (BLET) conducted by LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates are advised to visit the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in regularly for notifications / instructions regarding BLET.

NOTE 1 :The B.Tech Programme for Working Professionals will be conducted at SJCET only if the admitted student strength is at least 10.

NOTE 2: Same as Lateral Entry to Second Year with a total programme duration NOT less than THREE years, so as to fulfil the total contact hours for awarding B.Tech Degree as per the B.Tech 2024 Regulation of SJCET, Palai. Timings for conduct of classes normally shall be in the evening hours/weekends/ holidays.
